€80K to €90K + Bonus

I'm currently working with an exciting Irish technology company looking for an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

This is a hands on builder role for a Backend Software Engineer who has been involved in the full integration journey, designing, building, deploying and supporting complex integrations in production.

What we're looking for:

✅ 3 to 6 years' Backend or Integration Engineering experience

✅ Strong hands on experience building integrations from end to end, from initial design and architecture through development, deployment and production support

✅ Experience creating reliable integrations between multiple systems, APIs and external partners

✅ Strong production experience with AWS, particularly Lambda, SQS/SNS and S3

✅ Strong backend development skills in Go, Python, Node.js or similar

✅ Experience with event driven architecture and distributed systems

✅ Strong understanding of queues, asynchronous messaging, retries, idempotency and duplicate handling

✅ Experience designing and consuming REST APIs

✅ Strong problem solving, debugging, structured logging and monitoring skills

✅ Comfortable using AI assisted development tools as part of your daily workflow

Experience with Go, PHP, EventBridge, Step Functions, API Gateway, SOAP, SFTP, XML/XSD, JSON or CSV integrations would be a big advantage.
